Living in Mexico, with my husband Arnold, our two cats and our rescued purebred Mexican Street Dog Reina. We moved here in 2007; I was working as a financial advisor and while I wasn’t smart enough (don’t I wish!) to have profited from the ’08 crash, I sensed that something awful was going to happen to the financial markets and hence, my livelihood, and that if we didn’t do something pretty drastic, we were likely to lose everything we had. We had been toying with the idea of the “expat” experiment in any event, and hopefully this blog will give folks a sense of what it is like to actually pull the plug, and create a new life in another country. Not for the faint of heart, but it has still been a wonderful adventure thus far.
Interested to know if you are still acting President, and would like to see about donating to organization.
Hi Jillian
Love to read your post but white lettering on black background make it near impossible
Really wish you would change format..thanks
Well, I changed it; see if you like it better now!
What a wonderful record you are keeping, Jillian. It’s a joy to read and to see how you and Arnold are forging ahead – obstacles be damned. Leave it to you to continue changing the world in your own little way. Salud!
